Design-Build Method
Collaboration for More Unified Projects
OCA Architects is frequently part of projects with the Design/Build method. Our firm has participated in several successful teams using this method. Design/Build is a project delivery method used by an agency or owner for organizing and financing design and construction of a structure or facility by engaging a single entity (Design-Builder) who is responsible for the design and construction phases of the project.
The design professionals and contractors work as a team to implement the dictates of the project under contract with the Design/Builder. Design/Build relies on this single point of responsibility to minimize risks for the Project Owner and to reduce the delivery schedule by overlapping the design and construction
phases of the project.
