Newark Liberty Airport Vision Plan

OCA recently completed its collaboration with STV on Newark Airport's Terminal A redevelopment. The Port Authority continues to move forward with its $30-billion investment into transforming the region's airport into a network of modern world-class gateways. Having successfully completed the Terminal A project 'opened the door', and OCA is ecstatic to be a part of the design team for Newark Airport's Vision Plan!

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey selected ARUP to oversee the development of Newark Airport's Vision Plan. OCA Architects in partnership with Skidmore, Ownings and Merrill (SOM) will offer its architectural knowledge and expertise to the design team. The plan will accommodate future growth and demand, improve the travel experience, and identify opportunities for enhancing the sustainability of the facility.

To date OCA has completed inventory of existing conditions on site, in addition to developing programming and facility requirements. The firm is currently focused on developing various design options which are to be evaluated by the Port Authority. Each option will need to create a memorable, locally driven, world class entryway for New Jersey. We think Port Authority Chairman Kevin O'Toole said it best... " The Newark Vision plan will amount to a complete reimagining of what Newark Liberty can be for Newark & Elizabeth, the State of New Jersey and the region as whole"
