OCA Architects Partners in Visionary Redevelopment Plan for Newark Liberty International Airport"

OCA Architects is excited to announce that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has formally unveiled the Vision Plan for Newark Liberty International Airport. As part of the design team, OCA partnered with Arup & SOM to develop a comprehensive ‘Vision Plan’ which delivered a ‘blueprint’ for the future redevelopment of Newark Airport over the next 40 years. The plan looks to maximize the current site for the future anticipated aviation demands, as the airport currently serves close to 50 million annual passengers (a number which continues to grow year over year). OCA created an inventory of current assets for mapping future developments. In addition, while collaborating with SOM, we were able to program and layout the proposed future terminal which seeks to create a memorable gateway for New Jersey. Our firm is thrilled to be part of Newark Airport’s Vision forward!
